QUERN

Music - Mainly in the Scottish Idiom
![]() |
Formed in 1984 with the twin objectives of promoting the music and culture of Scotland in a lively and imaginative way and helping organisations in their fund-raising efforts, QUERN has established its own and perhaps unique niche in the Scottish cultural scene.
While performing mainly in the Scottish idiom, QUERN have an extensive repertoire, frequently incorporating the music and songs of other lands in their performances.
Widely travelled within Scotland, QUERN have taken part in major events in France, Holland, Germany, Spain and Russia and made two-week tours to both Eastern Australia and Western Canada (twice) playing for Scots Societies, Burns and Country Dance Clubs. In a three-week tour to Kenya, Quern help to raise funds for a Kenyan hospital
To aid charities, QUERN operates on a no-fee, expenses-only basis. Enquiries are welcomed from charitable and voluntary organisations throughout the country.
