After being successfully introduced last Summer, Linlithgow Tours and Linlithgow Business Association,with the support of West Lothian Council's Tourism and Town Centre Management, are glad to announce that Music at the Cross will again feature in July and August 2007.
Music will be provided at Linlithgow Cross by local artists on the Wednesday afternoons from 2-4pm prior to the wonderful Scotch Hop evenings. The dates include July 11th, 18th, 25th and August 1st and 8th.
Please come along and enjoy Folk, Pipe and Military Music - played for your pleasure by well known bands and groups from the Royal Burgh. Temporary seating will be provided around the Cross Well for tourists and locals to utilise whilst listening to the wide variety of sounds provided for your enjoyment.
Why not spend the whole day in Linlithgow to sample some of the activities on offer in the Royal Burgh, including shopping in the independently owned shops along Linlithgow High Street, refreshment in one of our many coffee shops, restuarants or public houses. Take a short Cruise on the Union Canal, enjoy a guided tour of the Historic sites with Linlithgow Tours and visit St. Michaels Church, Linlithgow Palace, the Linlithgow Story and the Union Canal Museum and Tea Room.
Marynka restaurant is offering early evening meals on Scotch Hop days - so you can enjoy a day out in Linlithgow, listen to Music at the Cross, fortify yourself with a good meal at Marynka and then dance with friendly locals at Scotch Hop at Linlithgow Palace.
