Budding young footballers from Primary schools in Linlithgow, Bridgend and Winchburgh will be parading their skills on Sunday May 18th when the annual George Allan Memorial 7-a-side Primary Schools Football Festival takes place at Linlithgow Rose F.C.'s Prestonfield ground.
Organised by the Lithca Lore group and first established in 1991, the annual event brings together Primary school footballers, both girls and boys, from local schools.
The Festival honours the memory of George "Dod" Allan from Linlithgow Bridge, who was a star centre forward on both sides of the border in the 1890s and Liverpool F.C.s first Scottish internationalist.
Teams will play in two sections - the Reston League and the Gallagher League at either end of the ground. The names are taken from Linlithgow Rose Scottish Junior Cup winning captains Tommy Reston and Ian Gallagher.
Play gets underway at 9am and admission is free.
