Let's Make More of Linlithgow

Provost Tom Kerr has arranged a couple of meetings of the many voluntary organisations that put on shows and events in Linlithgow to see if there is support for jointly promoting the town's attractions to both locals and visitors.  His ideas include agreeing a theme for Linlithgow and The Gazette are collecting ideas.  If you have a good one, please e-mail it to mail_linlithgow,com and I will make sure it is added to the growing number of suggestions.  Some of the ideas that have been put forward already are:

  • Agreeing an attractive promotional theme for Linlithgow
  • Organisations getting together to run bigger and more diversified events
  • Possibility of setting up a Booking Office that could sell tickets for all Linlithgow events, taking credit card payment
  • Paying for some professional marketing consultancy to help promote Linlithgow and its attractions
  • Joint advertising of events in Linlithgow
  • Improvements to the events diary so that it includes everything that is on
