Although it is possible for coaches to drop passengers off and pick them up again at The Cross, or at Manse Road Canal Basin (the route for coaches to the Canal Basin is specially signposted), there is currently very limited coach parking in the centre of the town. After dropping off their passengers coach drivers can usually park in the layby on Blackness Road.
A much more suitable alternative for coach parties visiting the town is to use the services of Linlithgow Tours.
Tourists and visitors utilising the services of Kingsfield Golf Range and Linlithgow Tours can park their cars and coaches at the Kingsfield Golf Range Car Park, which is situated just beside Junction3 of the M9 (follow signs for Golf Range) See Map.
Linlithgow Tours have arranged this parking opportunity for Tourists who wish to utilise their blue badge tourism guide services within their Linlithgow Tourism Package. This allows tourists vehicles to be parked at Kingsfield and prevents congestion in the Royal Burgh's High Street and limited Car Parks.
The tourists are introduced to the Kingsfield Leisure facilities of Golf, Laser Clays, Archery and the new 'Artworks at the Tee Caddy' Gallery as well as the Tee Caddy Coffee Shop.
After partaking in one or all of these opportunities, the tourists are then transported to the Union Canal where they embark on a Canal boat. A relaxing cruise along the Canal to Linlithgow - a Green Tourism Provision - and disembark at the Canal Basin at Manse Road courtesy of LUCS.
A walking tour then allows the tourists to enjoy the historic sites of Linlithgow at their leisure, followed by the opportunity to shop in Linlithgow High Street's independantly owned specialist shops before their transport can be arranged to collect them from a suitable Bus Stop within the Low port area of the Royal Burgh.
