Getting Around

Introduction

Getting around Linlithgow is pretty straight forward - the town developed linearly from the Cross along the High Street, which follows the south side of Linlithgow Loch.  Beyond the High Street and parallel to it is the main Glasgow-Edinburgh railway line and then the Union Canal.  The M9 motorway runs along the north side of the Loch, screened by landscaping and planting.  Modern residential areas have since developed to the south, west and east.
